Breakfast Morning June 2019

by

We were blessed with beautiful sunshine for our breakfast morning, which was fantastic as it meant we could set up some tables around the pool and the children played happily under the watchful eyes of mum and dad.
Such a well-attended event, approximately 55 adults plus the children. Special thanks must be given to everyone who helped-out, it really was a team-event. From the BBQ boys who sizzled our bacon and eggs, the dishwashing stalwarts who didn’t take a break, the lovely people who set-up the night before and everyone who helped clear-away at the end.

Aside from the cooked breakfast items, sausage, eggs, bacon, beans, hash browns. There were
assorted fruit juices and tea and coffee complimented by fresh Danish pastries and muffins, warm croissants, cheese and meat platters, jams, fruit toast and fresh fruit platters.
For me, the best part was seeing neighbours reconnecting. Passing through whilst handing out croissants, I heard so many people reminiscing, catching up on family gossip and wondering of people now passed.
It was a beautiful morning and I was touched by the help and support received from my neighbours to put on this event. As a new resident, I was so pleased that we chose to move to this little haven that is Crestwood.
